Picturesquely situated 18th century Lumb Cottage is grade 2 listed as being of architectural and historical interest and is now available for holiday lettings.

A good size cottage (formally three homes) modernised and renovated to a good standard but retaining bags of character and all original features including mullion windows, oak beams open stone fireplace with a wood or coal burning stove.

It is fully and comfortably furnished, including some antiques.

The cottage features outstanding views over beautiful countryside from all windows.

It is in an idyllic rural valley, which is a proposed nature reserve, only a mile from the centre of the historic and interesting town of Hebden Bridge.

The cottage is located in a walkers paradise in the heart of the South Pennines in a sheltered valley only a quarter of a mile from both the Pennine Way and the Calderdale Way.

Lumb Cottage Sleeps 4 or 5, it has 2 bedrooms. 2 bathrooms, kitchen, lounge, study/dinning room/bedroom.

Accommodation

Fully centrally heated and also has a wood/coal burning stove.

Modern fully equipped modern kitchen with views over the garden. Equipment includes fridge, cooker, microwave, washing machine, and oil central heating boiler.

Good size cosy lounge. Bags of character with oak beams mullion windows, original fireplace, wood/coal burning stove, views over a wooded valley and a waterfall. It has colour TV, stereo tape and CD player. The lounge also has a dinning area.

Second size reception room which can be used as a dinning room or third bedroom (fold down bed) or study.

Large double bedroom with ensuite shower, WC and hand basin facilities. Bags of character including beams, mullion windows and beautiful views over a wooded valley and a waterfall.

Second good size twin bedroom with views over a wooded valley and a waterfall.

Second bathroom with extensive views over the countryside

Beautiful terraced garden where one can sit and enjoy the scenic south pennine countryside and the sound of the waterfall at Lumb falls.

Parking for two cars.

Extremely quiet rural location yet close to all facilities. Historic Hebden Bridge 1 mile, Haworth (Bronte country) 10 miles. Leeds and Manchester are only about 50 minutes drive. The cottage is situated down a quiet unmade road, which is suitable for ordinary cars with care but not for very low slung sports models.
